Cleaning His house?

What does this mean? I worked in Children's Ministry for close to 10 years both as a volunteer and on staff at the same church. I loved every minute I was able to spend time with the children and see them Praise and Worship God.  Towards the end of my time there God gave me this sense that he was going to Clean House. Now I thought that could mean that he was getting rid of people and things he did not want at the church. I presented it that way to others when we would talk or pray for the children, church or ourselves.
Being on my sabbatical for over 2 years, I see where I may have been wrong, maybe He meant something else
Many of my co-workers and friends are no longer serving at the church. Most of them are all doing something different. But in the process health issues have improved; Marriages Renewed or in the process of; Family Life Improving or in the process; Working in different fields or previous ones, and enjoying it. You get the Picture!
Now, I am not saying serving the Children caused us to have issues, in no way shape or form. I truly believe this was and deep down, still is all of our Passion. We just got to a point where we used this passion and it became a Safe house for many of us. We were doing God's Work and we loved what we were doing. Ultimately, this became our God, and God was left chilling in the Background waiting for us to realize "HELLO" I am the Reason you are doing what you are doing for the Children! For most of us our Focus became the Children and less on God! This caused Burn-Out in me personally.  So, when God was telling me He was going to clean house, I believe he was cleaning our houses! Clean us up! Refresh us! Renew us, like a well overdo Spring Cleaning!.

He is still working and cleaning, especially in Me! It is a New Year and I look forward to what He has in store for me!

Psalm 51:7-15 (The Message)

7-15 Soak me in your laundry and I'll come out clean,
scrub me and I'll have a snow-white life.
Tune me in to foot-tapping songs,
set these once-broken bones to dancing.
Don't look too close for blemishes,
give me a clean bill of health.
God, make a fresh start in me,
shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life.
Don't throw me out with the trash,
or fail to breathe holiness in me.
Bring me back from gray exile,
put a fresh wind in my sails!
Give me a job teaching rebels your ways
so the lost can find their way home.
Commute my death sentence, God, my salvation God,
and I'll sing anthems to your life-giving ways.
   Unbutton my lips, dear God;
I'll let loose with your praise!
Hebrews 10:22 (NIV)Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
           Prayer:
I Pray that God Brings you a Year of Renewal, Refreshness (not a real word), & Revival. I pray God’s Blessings on you and yours! That whatever you are dealing with right now that God is there and He is waiting for you to ask and listen quietly! In his Precious name, AMEN!
